Poland, wherein 2019 the government invested 100 million PLN to set up the Polish Medical Research Agency dedicated to increase the level of education within the medical corps on the development of clinical trials and to create a network of specialized centres, has been chosen as a host for the 2019 SCRS CEE Ambassador Symposium.
” The Polish Medical Research Agency is not the same institution with the competent authority (CA) in this country, yet it has gained about 3.5 million PLN as European funds just to invest in the medical education for clinical studies, commercial or not-commercial, and a network of professional recruiting medical sites. I was impressed to find out that in Poland, a CEE country, the authorities are showing such a big interest in developing clinical studies and increasing the level of education in this area.” - declares Dr Cristina Florescu Moraid
Dr Florescu Moraid has attended the event as Avantyo Institute of Clinical Research representative and she was the unique participant from Romania.
The event was held on November 18th, 2019, at Sofitel Warsaw Victoria Hotel, in Warsaw, Poland. See more here.
The 2019 SCRS Ambassador Symposium dedicated to the CEE Region has provided a unique opportunity for research sites to engage with and hear directly from sponsors and CRO executives, and receive valuable information on site trends in the industry.
The one-day Symposium has connected key members of the site community with SCRS to bring SCRS’ mission to unify the voice of the global clinical research site community for greater site sustainability.
The SCRS Ambassador Program brings SCRS benefits to clinical research sites in countries around the world. SCRS currently has site members in 47 countries, and the growing Ambassador Program is in seven countries. The Ambassador Program supports member sites and other industry stakeholders by providing active and ongoing dialogue and content exchange. Through the Ambassador Program, member sites have access to all SCRS member benefits.
Usually, Ambassador Symposiums connect key members of a country’s site community with SCRS to bring SCRS’ mission to unify the voice of the global clinical research site community for greater site sustainability to the country in which it is held. At these one-day Symposiums, attendees gain insight on how to position their research site for success, and receive valuable information on regional site trends in the industry.
