European Leaders Align on Research Goals in Sofia
SOFIA, BULGARIA — The European Clinical Research Organisation Federation (EUCROF) successfully concluded its Spring General Assembly, held in Sofia on 4–5 June 2026. Hosted and supported by the Rosenbaum Group, the two-day event served as a vital forum for members to align strategic priorities, review organisational impact, and plan upcoming initiatives.
Regulatory Insights & Opening Frameworks
The event commenced with a deep dive into local and European clinical trial landscapes. Dr Boyan Doganov, Deputy Chairman of the Ethics Committee for Clinical Trials in Bulgaria, delivered an insightful presentation on the regulatory and ethical frameworks governing regional clinical research.

Raising Patient Awareness: Educating the public regarding the profound, life-changing benefits of participating in clinical research.
Optimising Engagement: Refining and scaling existing patient engagement programmes across Europe to improve trial retention and experience.
Deploying GDPR Standards: Implementing the newly approved GDPR Code of Conduct for clinical research—a vital compliance milestone driven directly by EUCROF members.
